There is just something about the ESV's literalness that gets to Calvinist. It has support and endorsements from, and was even worked on by many Calvinist peers. There are even different subsets of the ESV that lend themselves more to Calvanist. If a Calvanist wants to take it to the next level their is no better way than to become a daily carrier of the ESV Study Bible.

Calvinist love their books. Any Calvinist worth their salt has a "Library" of great books even if the library is a stack on the floor.
They have their favorite titles and like all bookworms they have their favorite authors. They may even have shelves dedicated to a single author. We will see some of these people in the future so hang in there.

It is obvious and probably not very clever but #1 had to be John Calvin. Calvinist like John Calvin.
That does not mean that they worship him, agree with everything he said or did (none of us are perfect) but they do like him very much.
